Control of the total daily traffic of each single IP address in the on-campus network and dormitory network
Presently, the total daily traffic of each single IP address in the on-campus network is limited to 15G (Download: 10G; Upload: >5G).
The total daily traffic of each single IP address in the dormitory network is limited to 11G (Download: 7G; Upload: >4G)
If the download or upload limit for a single IP address is exceeded, then the network bandwidth will be restricted (Internet speed slows down).
The original 8G network (Download: >4G; Upload: >4G) limit is established in accordance with the rules of the Taichung Network Regional Center. As a member of the Taichung Network Regional Center, the National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) is required to follow these rules.
However, the University has purchased external network lines, most of which provide sufficient traffic to support the network usage of student dormitories.
The total network traffic is fixed at 11G.
