1. What is an email archiving system?

Have you ever lost an important email due to accidentally deleting an email or due to computer reset or hard drive damage?

"Mail Archiving System" is a real-time system that provides users with self-operated email emergency rescue. In other words, the computer and information network center will help you back up every letter you receive. When you need mail rescue, you can Log in to the email archiving system anytime, anywhere, and ask the system to return your important historical emails.

2. Common problem

[1] How long do emails last on a mail archiving system?

Based on estimates of system storage space, the email archiving system can help you retain at least one year's worth of historical emails. Of course, if storage space permits, the retention time can be extended！

[2] What are the currently open users of the system?

The system is opening email accounts first for faculty and staff currently(@dragon.nchu.edu.tw)

3. Usage methods and application examples

[1] Log in to the system:Log in to the email system and click the Email Archive System button in the tool on the upper right side of the email system.

In order to improve information security, the direct login function from the mail archiving system address mailbase.nchu.edu.tw will be closed starting from 2022/07/19, and login will be unified through the link within the mail system.

[2] After successful login, the system will display the email list of the day.

[3] You can also use "Advanced Search" to search for the letters you want to rescue.

[4] Check the letter you want to rescue, click "Forward" and forward it back to your own mailbox

[5] Then go back to your email system to confirm that the email you just forwarded was successfully forwarded.
