Campus IoT devices

Internet of Things (IoT) refers to various devices that can provide services through network connectivity.

●  The inventory scope of devices includes equipment acquired by the school, as well as devices used for public administration purposes.

●  The types of equipment include but are not limited to: network printers/multifunction devices, network cameras,access control devices, environmental control systems,wireless access points (AP)/routers, networked electronic signage, energy management systems (EMS), etc.

●  The recommended management approach for the devices:

        ○ Changing the default username and password of the devices.

        ○ Performing security updates.

        ○ Prohibiting the use of products from Chinese brands. 

Common Chinese brands for reference include but are not limited to the following:
Hikvision、Huawei、DJI、OPPO、TP-Link、MI、Dahua、ZTE、Hisense、MEIZU、Nubia/ Redmagic、realme、Tenda、Hytera、vivo、TotoLink、Foscam、SUGA, etc.
